As you would have seen in the announcements, 2011 was the International Year of Writing a Damn Lot (IYoWaDL or YeoWDam't). During June there was even an official IYoWaDL conference...
(Okay, technically the conference sprang into being having already taken place and produced the UIE/PWMWG Accord.)
So, 2012 will be the International Year of...?
Post suggestions here! Titles, cool acronyms, activities... really anything at all that could become the focus of 2012.
We may even hold another 'conference' in June 2012! Or some other month. Is there a 'conference season' or something like that?

I like the International Year of Hypergraphia ^^ (Maybe work it like a Zodiac? Year of Writing a Damn Lot then Year of Hypergraphia then Year of [] (so on and so forth)?)
(I hate how my brain works. Maybe there's a Writers Calender. Maybe if you were born in, say, October (by the Writer's Calender) you're tagged in the system as GS (Goth-Sci) with a likelihood of enjoying the darker side of beauty and futuristic elements. Daydreamers, often night-owls. Birthstone is ruby. November is Topaz and those born in November are usually among the most prolific.)
Yet again, I'm off topic >.>
I think (and this is just my own headcanon) that June is usually the conference month. Of course, writers are only a small part of the conference season (beginning in June and ending in September). There's the main official 'Year of' conference in June and a smaller unofficial conference in late August (think big business and small business conferences). In between those are meetings for painters, textile artists and all other manner of creative outlets.
