Although usually I just go with the Mad Max:Beyond Thunderdome line:
"Plan? There ain't no plan!"

That would be my motto. My only plan is to park my butt in the chair and start hitting the keys. Amazingly that works every time.

I'm not sure about you all but no matter my level of planning, I subscribe to the ancient philosophy of BIC-HOK-TAM (Butt In Chair-Hands On Keyboard-Typing Away Madly). It's working out well for GothNo so far

Yeah, it works... although I'm thinking of getting a more comfortable chair. Typing is easier in a comfortable chair, right?

Jezzy and Marie, why do you have word counts of 0 on the NaNo site? Come on, write words!

Mine was 0 because I was too lazy to update. That's since been fixed. (I am really, really behind... )

It's Backup your Novel Day! Email your novel to yourself or a friend, put it on a USB stick, print it out, burn it to CD or upload it into the cloud now!

You mean there are people who don't back it up? I am so paranoid I print out about every page or so. I figure that way if the computer dies at least I have a paper copy. Lately though I worry about that too. What it something happens to that. So I'm curious. Just how do you upload something into the clouds?

It just means putting it on the internet - Google Docs, the Microsoft equivalent that has a name I can't remember, sites like Dropbox... there's a whole bunch of them.
