I just haven't felt up to it for some reason. On July 12, my sister passed on to new adventures and is now pain-free. *whispers* I think she and my mom play tricks on me. The first thing I noticed was my cane was missing, and I had an appointment. I had to grab a spare cane on my way out the door. I get home, and guess what one of the first things I see ... if you guessed my cane, give yourself double points.
Anyway, I majorly flunked the June Camp, and I don't know if I'll manage to do the August one, though I am signed up for it. I think part of my problem has been that I ran out of my anti-depressant meds around a month or so ago. I just managed to get the new prescription today, so I should start feeling better, but it could be a week or so before they kick in.
Oh, and my router went out, and I just installed the new one tonight.
I'll get off of here for now. I did this same post over on NaNoPlotMo.

Hi, Amy.
(trying to think of what to say and not having much luck...)
Um...
*hugs*
You have my deepest sympathy, although it seems like maybe your loved ones haven't quite left you alone.
Maybe next month you should take things a bit slower for a while rather than trying to cope with the pressure of Camp? Hang around, chat with friends and just work at a level that's comfortable for you.

Thanks, Siana.
I might take your advice and just see how things go.
My birthday is coming up, and a friend is going to drive me to where my parents are buried. Mom and I shared a birthday, and I'd love to share this one with her in spirit.

I failed at June Camp too. Sometimes life just has other things in mind for us. But even if we don't finish the month out and walk away with a finished draft, even a partial one is a victory of sorts. Statistically most people who want to write never even start. So even making that first step and starting is more than most people will do in their entire lives. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. So be kind to yourself. The writing should be a source of joy. If you need to take care of other stuff, then do that, and don't worry. When you feel it, write. Doesn't matter if you finish it right then. The seeds you produce can always be planted later.

Thanks, and you're right, if I can't enjoy writing and write anyway, that makes it work, and who wants to work? LOL I did get a seed of an idea last night. It's very different from my other works, so I don't know if it'll ever be more than an idea. If I decide I can't write it, I'll post it over on Adoption Center on PlotMo.

Good luck with your new idea. I hope it blossoms for you!
