This has happened a few times that I've seen and I'd just like to see if it's happened to anyone around here. 'Life-changing' can mean almost anything from 'This saved my life' to 'This really made me want to write' or anything similar. I know for me the series that made me want to write was... well, it was sort of equal parts Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter. I just wanted to create something anywhere near as awesome and I'd be happy. One that really made me think recently was 'Sorry, I Thought I Loved You' by Michielle DJ Beck. She looks at codependency and relationship addiction from a first-person perspective and that makes it very... real and very emotionally raw. You can tell she's just her. It really made me think a lot about myself too. I was seeing a lot of my own world view in what she wrote early on. So, come in and share your stories and recommendations here.

For me it was Many Mansions by Gina Cerminara. I was sitting in a classroom in HS and had just finished it. It introduced to me, for the first time, the concept of reincarnation. I sat there, feeling as if someone had just dumped a load of bricks on me, thinking, oh no, I don't want this. This puts all the responsibility for my life on me. But I couldn't discard the idea of it. It tied up too many loose ends for me, answered too many questions. Literally changed my life, forever. I was 17. That was 40 years ago and I can still conjure up that moment as clear as ever.

I have read a book that changed my life called Beauty by Robin McKinley its a good about the beauty and the beast. And well it inspired me to not judge a book by its cover saying of never judging people. Because of their looks and learn to trust and love them for who they are which is pretty cool in my book if i have to say so myself. So i will have to say that it is a really great book to read and i will reread it over and over again.
