Still on the ebooks because it's read ebooks from the library or else read nothing at all. I just finished a couple of Desmond Bagley books - The tightrope Men and The Enemy - which I hadn't read for years. It was interesting to read that although he was an extensive researcher Bagley never actually planned his first drafts.
I also love this quote from him in his bio:
"I want to write - Galsworthy's dead and there's only Maugham left, so there's a chance for me," fourteen-year old Desmond Bagley told his mother when she enquired about his future career.
Bagley also had the distinction of actually selling his first book straight away. He offered it to one publisher and not only had it accepted immediately but was also given a three-book contract and a five-figure advance. That was in 1962, so pretty impressive.

Just finished Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Not sure if I liked it or not, because somehow my favourite character ended up being Mr Collins.

I didn't like P&P&Z, because it wasn't as funny as it could have been. The guy just put in random interludes in between. It wasn't as effective a parody as it could have been. You should read Little Women and Werewolves. THAT book is hilarious! XD In fact, if you haven't read Little Women, it's worth reading it just to read LW&W. ^^

I'm avoiding the dumb romance novel I borrowed from the library. Must be time I went back to the classics, I guess - I need to be reading things that are clearly superior to my own efforts.
